Through the eyes of an uninvolved person a 'team' is not always obvious. All teams do not give members matching uniforms or other paraphernalia that allow outsiders to easily identify them as a TEAM.
Yet in a truly powerful team each member feels valued and is inspired to offer their support for the success of the team.
While we often hear the statement, "There is no 'I' in TEAM", it's clear that teams are formed by a group of individuals. So what exactly does it take to get all those eye's and egos… in other words, the
Individual's that make up a team... all facing the same direction?
After all, the dictionary defines TEAMWORK as:
work done by several associates with each doing a part but all subordinating personal prominence to the efficiency of the whole.Lest that sound like 'gobbledegook' to you let me rephrase that –
It's not about YOU! Yet it won't be accomplished without you.
